Josh Dawsey is a White House correspondent for The Washington Post. Previously he was a political reporter at The Wall Street Journal and a White House correspondent for Politico. He has covered the Trump administration since the transition in November 2016.

Dawsey writes extensively about the inner workings of the Trump administration while also breaking news on policy decisions, legislation and developments in the Russia investigation. He won the White House Correspondents Association Award in 2018 for deadline news reporting.

At the Wall Street Journal in New York, he covered New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, among other beats.

Josh is a winner of the 2020 Hinrich Foundation Award for Distinguished Reporting on Trade.
