Understanding Vaccines and Health
Vaccines – and the consequences of the unvaccinated – are in the headlines. NPF is offering a three-day training to help journalists better understand the historical and current context of vaccinations. Topics to be covered will include public health issues, the manufacturing and approval process, how immunization recommendations are formed, opt-outs and exemptions, what’s in the pipeline, and more.
The training will be held July 29-31 at NPF’s media training center in Washington, D.C.
The all-expenses-paid fellowship covers airfare, ground transportation, hotel costs and most meals. NPF offers this professional development opportunity for journalists to enhance skills, increase knowledge and recharge their reporting on one of today’s most critical issues.
This program is for U.S.-based journalists only. Deadline to apply is June 7, 2019.
Support for this training comes from GSK. NPF retains sole responsibility for programming and content.
