Innovations in Public Health

The National Press Foundation is offering an all-expenses-paid opportunity for 20 journalists to take a deep dive into public health issues. Journalists will receive one day of training by expert speakers arranged by NPF staff on public health issues such as economic inequity, affordable housing and mental health. Then journalists will then cover the two-day community health summit sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, with full access to speakers, lectures and interactive exhibits.

The NPF training is Nov. 13; the Kaiser Permanente public health summit is Nov. 14-15. Both are in San Francisco.

The all-expenses-paid fellowship covers airfare, ground transportation, hotel costs, conference registration fees and most meals. It is open to all U.S.-based journalists. Applicants must commit to attend the NPF training and the Kaiser Permanente summit.

Support for this program is provided from Kaiser Permanente.
