Covering the Heart Beat

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States – one in every four deaths. The National Press Foundation is offering a four-day training program for 20 journalists that will look at all facets of heart health and heart disease: who is at risk, symptoms, preventive care, treatment, demographics, data, and the latest science and medicine.

The NPF training will be held Jan. 26-29 in West Palm Beach, Florida. This program is open to U.S.-based journalists only. Deadline to apply is December 6, 2019.

The all-expenses-paid fellowship covers airfare, ground transportation, hotel costs and most meals. NPF offers this professional development opportunity for journalists to enhance skills, increase knowledge and recharge their reporting on one of today’s most critical issues.

Support for this training comes from Bayer. NPF retains sole responsibility for programming and content.

The application period for this program has now ended.
