Tyler Mertins

Digital Media Manager

Tyler Mertins joined the National Press Foundation in September 2016. He produces media content for the NPF website, including video, audio, photos and graphics. He also manages the Evelyn Y. Davis Studios at NPF.

Mertins is a native of Morgantown, West Virginia, where he worked for West Virginia Radio Corp. as a video producer from 2011 to 2013. He went back to school to complete his master’s degree and moved to the Washington area after completing classwork in 2015. Before joining NPF, he worked for the City of Laurel in Maryland as an editor, reporter and production assistant.

Mertins is currently finishing his master’s in journalism from West Virginia University. He graduated from WVU with a bachelor’s in broadcast news in 2011.
