Kevin Johnson has spent 42 years in journalism as a reporter and editor at USA Today, The Los Angeles Times and San Antonio Light. He joins the National Press Foundation as a senior journalism trainer from USA Today, where he served as a national correspondent, anchoring Justice Department and criminal justice coverage. Johnson’s assignments have ranged from the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the Oklahoma City bombing and Clinton impeachment to Columbine, 9/11 and Donald Trump’s Justice Department. His international reporting assignments have included the Iraq War and seven Olympic Games.
