Jason Zaragoza joined the National Press Foundation in January 2021. He manages the foundation’s finances, grants, and human resources. Jason also oversees fundraising for NPF’s Annual Awards Dinner.

Prior to NPF, Jason served 11 years with the Association of Alternative Newsmedia (AAN), serving as Executive Director from 2017 to 2020. During his time at AAN, he directly managed every part of the organization’s operations, including its finances, conferences, editorial awards, diversity initiatives, and public affairs.

Jason is a Southern California native and has a B.A. in Political Science from the California State University, Los Angeles. He currently serves on the Board of the NAHJ Washington, D.C. Chapter.
