Simone Weichselbaum is a national law enforcement reporter for NBC News Investigations, where she focuses on issues pertaining to federal law enforcement and local policing. Prior to joining NBC News, Weichselbaum was a national law enforcement reporter for The Marshall Project and also served as co-chair of diversity & inclusion for the newsroom. She’s written about law enforcement throughout her career, and in her youth, worked the police beat for the New York Daily News and the Philadelphia Daily News. Weichselbaum holds a graduate degree in criminology from the University of Pennsylvania.
