Sergio Roman Roman is the head of the translational research department at Institut Curie and the director of the SiRIC Curie. A pharmacist by training, he worked at Institut Gustave Roussy and spent 15 years in industry working for Roussel-Uclaf, Hoechst-Marion-Roussel, Aventis and Proskelia. In these positions, he was in charge of different drug discovery programs in the field of inflammation, osteoporosis and oncology. He is currently interested in preclinical oncology and is at the origin of the EuroPDX consortium. He coordinates a multidisciplinary group of scientists and doctors devoted to uveal melanoma at Institut Curie, as well as the European consortium UMCure H2020. He is also the deputy director of the medico-scientific program at Institut Curie.
