Rebecca is a professor of mathematics George Mason University. Goldin holds a B.A. (cum laude) in mathematics from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her STATS work has been published or mentioned in multiple online and print venues, and she has appeared on NBC, CBS, CNN and NPR. She runs workshops and gives talks about statistics in the media across the country. She is a many-year Nifty Fifty Speaker at the U.S. Science and Engineering Festival, and has received numerous grants from the National Science Foundation to support her STATS effort and her research in mathematics. When not at SAS USA’s office in the back of a Brooklyn bakery, Dr. Goldin is coaching local math clubs, watching sci-fi movies, worrying about politics, and trying to keep gifted programs in public schools.
