As a regional manager at SJN, Mikhael Simmonds works with news outlets and institutions to produce high quality rigorous reporting about responses to social problems.  Simmonds has a background in multimedia and international reporting and before SJN he co-founded Harlem Focus, a multimedia blog/media lab used as a learning tool at the City College of New York. Over the years, Simmonds has worked with a number of news and non-for-profit organizations including Democracy Now!, GritTV, Seeds of Africa, the New York Amsterdam News, the YMCA International, and the UN Department of Public Information and NGO Relations.
