Mari Lundberg is a physical therapist who holds a doctorate in orthopedics and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is a university lecturer and associate professor at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Lundberg is a pain researcher who runs the international and interdisciplinary Back in Motion Research Group, which aims to improve functioning for people with pain. The research group covers clinically relevant research questions throughout the life span, from children to older adults. She has been engaged as a chair and board member in several national and international committees, including the International Association for the Study of Pain and the Swedish Pain Society. She is the manager of education and implementation at the Centre for Person-Centred Care at the University of Gothenburg. She is also on the editorial board for the American Physical Therapy Journal.
