Marek N. Posard is a military sociologist at the RAND Corporation and an affiliate faculty member at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. His primary area of research focuses on social problems in military organizations. Posard’s research has focused on a range of topics, including unit cohesion, countering disinformation efforts, military families, the recruitment and retention of personnel, and modeling the will to fight. Most of his research uses survey, experimental or qualitative methods. Posard holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Maryland, and an M.A. and B.A. in political science from Loyola University Chicago.
