Marcy Gordon has been a reporter for the Washington bureau of the Associated Press. She has worked as a special assignment reporter, a congressional reporter covering crime and law enforcement issues, and a reporter on business and financial issues and policy, most recently tech policy and politics. Issues have included the Enron and other corporate scandals, major bank misconduct, money laundering and the government response to the 2008-09 financial crisis and in 2020, the pandemic recession.
She was part of the AP team that came in as a Pulitzer public-service finalist for reporting on the Bush-Gore recount in Florida in November 2000. She has presented at conferences of Investigative Reporters and Editors, and was a guest lecturer at the University of Texas-Austin’s journalism school in March 2002 under a Knight Foundation sponsorship.
She previously worked as a correspondent in London and as a business reporter in New York.
