Ramadan briefed National Press Foundation fellows in April 2022: No Data? No Problem.

Lulu Ramadan is an investigative reporter at The Seattle Times and a distinguished fellow at ProPublica. Before joining The Times in September, Ramadan was an investigative reporter at The Palm Beach Post, where she covered a number of topics, including government accountability and voting rights. Most recently, she reported on controversial harvest practices by the nation’s largest sugar growers in South Florida, where smoke and ash from cane burning regularly blankets poor, mostly minority communities. Ramadan co-curates IRE’s weekly Local Matters newsletter, which spotlights excellent watchdog stories from across the country.
