Damon briefed journalists in August 2021: Back-to-School in a Pandemic World.

Ife Damon is a high school special education and multi-subject teacher in Staten Island and member of Educators for Excellence-New York. Centering equity in her classroom, Ife incorporates community-based learning in her curriculum in order to build skills in her students that will prepare them for the future and give them the tools to be change agents in their own communities. In addition to her role as an educator, Ife is a mother, student, trainer, coach, motivational speaker, activist and advocate.
