Gavin Logan is Privacy & Public Policy Manager at Meta, where he advises Messenger product teams on privacy policy as well as works with members of the policy community on privacy issues. Gavin joined Meta from the Federal Communications Commission, where he served in the Wireline Bureau as an Attorney Advisor in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division. Gavin’s work history also includes serving as the Director of Tech and Telecom Policy at the National Urban League, and as the District of Columbia’s interim General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel at the Office of Cable, Television, Film, Music and Entertainment.
Finally, Gavin’s experience includes time at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council and the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. Gavin received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University. He is a Black Belt in Chinese Kenpo Karate and his interests include alpine skiing, jazz and reading.”
