Frank McPhillips is the assistant division chief for geographic operations for the Decennial Census Management Division. He started his Census Bureau career in 1995, working on the geography staff in the Denver regional office. He helped prepare for 2000 census, supervising the implementation of a number of geographic partnership programs. After the 2000 census, McPhillips worked as a survey statistician in the Denver regional office, primarily on the American Housing Survey (both the national and metropolitan sample). In 2002, he transferred to Census headquarters, serving in a number of roles that helped prepare for and implement the 2010 and 2020 censuses.
