
Dr. Mauricio Cohen is a professor of medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a leading interventional cardiologist. He is originally from Argentina and trained in interventional cardiology and clinical research at Duke University. Cohen is the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. In 2011, he received the Stop Heart Disease Researcher of the Year Award by the Florida Heart Research Institute. The same year, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions recognized Cohen as an “emerging leader” in interventional cardiology. He has chaired the American Heart Association Acute Care Committee, is a member of the National Cardiovascular Data Registry CathPCI Research and Publications Committee and a member of the writing committee of the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Revascularization Guidelines. Cohen specializes in complex coronary and structural interventional procedures. Cohen has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
