Harding briefed journalists in April 2024: Treatment-Resistant Depression is Treatable, But Access is Key

Lisa Harding MD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and depression expert specially trained in providing all treatment types for depression. She has completed over 4,000 procedures in Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), IV Ketamine, Spravato and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). She is a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine where she finished her training as the Chief Resident of Intervention Psychiatric Services at Yale Psychiatric Hospital and is now an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Harding is the Medical Director of the Mood Institute, a private insurance-based outpatient psychiatric practice, dedicated to treatment-resistant depression, especially in underserved populations.

She was the Vice President of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists & Practitioners. She has spoken on Treatment Resistant Depression internationally in Singapore, Brazil, St. Lucia to mention a few. She has worked on various councils within the American Psychiatric Association. She was also an APA Foundation Ambassador with special interest in bridging faith-based practices and psychiatry. Dr. Harding has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards and this year’s recipient of the Irma Bland, MD, Certificate of Excellence in Teaching Residents. She was awarded a prestigious Rappeport Fellowship with the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and has contributed to national position statements. She serves as a consultant to various companies and lends her expertise to various advisory panels.
