
Dr. Joshua Hare is chief sciences officer, senior associate dean for experimental and cellular therapeutics, director of the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute, and Louis Lemberg Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Hare has published more than 260 original research articles, editorials, and review articles. He is the recipient of three active National Institutes of Health research project grants and is the lead researcher for the UM National Heart Lung and Blood Institute Cardiac Cell Therapy Trial Network center. Hare has chaired the Stem Cell Working Group of the American Heart Association and served as chair of the AHA Basic Cardiovascular Science Council. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Hare served on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he served as professor of medicine, biomedical engineering and director of the cardiac transplant and heart failure program.
