
Dr. Jeffrey Goldberger is the chief of the cardiovascular division at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Goldberger also completed a fellowship in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco. He has published over 200 studies and served as an editorial consultant on nearly two dozen professional or peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, Circulation and the New England Journal of Medicine. Goldberger co-invented the morphology recurrence plot heart mapping tool to improve ablation for atrial fibrillation and 4D flow MRI techniques to better identify patients with AFib at risk for stroke. He designed and leads a National Institutes of Health-funded clinical trial investigating a novel therapy for overweight patients with AFib focused on reducing epicardial fat. Prior to joining UM, Goldberger was on faculty at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
