Diego Fernández is a partner in the IP, IT & privacy practice group at Marval O’Farrell Mairal, Argentina. He is a technology expert, with 18 years of experience with a wide range of expertise, which includes privacy & data protection, privacy compliance, privacy in internal investigations and at the workplace. He is a former foreign associate in the IT & Privacy group at Foley & Lardner, Chicago.
Fernández is a member of the Executive Committee of ITechLaw (and vice-chair of the Program Committee for the Americas and Chair of the Latin America Committee). He is also an Advisory Board Member and co-chair of the IAPP’s Argentine Chapter, member of the Data Protection Committee of INTA, member of the Technology Committee of IBA. Diego is the President of the Privacy & M&A Committee of the Latin America Privacy Association (ALAP) and Editorial Board Member of the Global Privacy Law Review.
Fernández also lectures on data protection law at Universidad Di Tella. He is also a professor at The John Marshal Law School, Chicago (United States) in its Online course on Global Privacy.
