Moore was a “Poverty and Inequality” series speaker in March 2021: Sec. Tom Vilsack on American Hunger.

Calvin A. Moore serves as President and CEO of Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa, Inc., a not-for-profit firm devoted to securing a better, more independent future for seniors.

He has worked in the field of Organizational Advancement and Not-for-Profit Administration for more than 20 years. Before devoting his work full time for MOWMT, Calvin held a variety of Advancement positions in education, served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and was a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate.

He has been guided by a single goal—to serve others and support our senior neighbors to extend their independence and health as they age. Under Moore’s leadership at Meals on Wheels, what started as a compassionate idea has grown into one of the largest and most effective social movements in Northeast Oklahoma, serving more than 36 thousand persons last year in virtually every community throughout the Tulsa Metropolitan Area.

He serves as Vice Chair of the Meals on Wheels America board and devotes his time advocating for member organizations across the country and growing the national association. He is also a founding member of the Meals on Wheels Association of Oklahoma, which is dedicated to serving the needs of seniors living in rural communities.

Moore is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), an Army veteran, and has earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi; a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Business Administration from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
