Beth Macy is a Virginia journalist who has written about the opioid crisis since 2012, most recently for The New York Times, The Atlantic and for a 2019 Audible Original called “Finding Tess.” Her 2018 book, “Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America,” won a L.A. Times Book Prize and is in production as a forthcoming limited series on Hulu.

Macy was part of a National Press Foundation panel discussion “Writing About Opioids.”
