The National Press Foundation is excited to welcome 23 journalists from 17 states to its Statehouse Reporting Fellowship in Austin, Texas, March 27-31. Experts will help these statehouse and regional reporters prepare for the 2022 midterm elections and beyond by providing nuanced information and instruction on redistricting, copycat legislation, campaign finance, disinformation and more. This year’s fellows hail from states encountering legislation on hot-button issues, including voting rights, abortion and transgender rights, and will bring what they learn back to their newsrooms to continue the important work of accurate, thorough and fair political reporting that is critical to the future of democracy.
