NPF Master Class: Linda Deutsch, Ace Legal Reporter

If a sensational crime occurred in the last four decades, Linda Deutsch was the trial reporter of record. In 48 years at The Associated Press, Deutsch covered the trials of Charles Manson, O.J. Simpson, Rodney King, Michael Jackson, Patty Hearst, William Kennedy Smith, the Exxon Valdez skipper, and more.

Deutsch won many journalism awards during her extraordinary career, most recently the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Women’s Media Foundation. She’s writing a book about her experiences. NPF president Sandy K. Johnson interviewed Deutsch about her career for NPF’s Master Class series.
