Meredith Casey McPhillips is the Vice President of Membership and Marketing for Business Roundtable, the association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. companies. McPhillips leads the organization’s membership team. As a member of the executive office, she collaborates with the policy, corporate initiatives, government relations and communications departments to deliver member value. She is responsible for CEO member recruitment, onboarding, communications, engagement and overall experience as well as dues revenue.

McPhillips’ portfolio includes Business Roundtable brand marketing and positioning. She develops brand and CEO campaign strategies that integrate website and social media content, earned media, advertising and events. McPhillips specializes in elevating CEO voices and perspectives through effective, multi-channel storytelling.

During her time at Business Roundtable, McPhillips has been a driving force behind high profile announcements and associated campaigns including redefining the purpose of a corporation, expanding economic opportunity for all Americans, strengthening the U.S. workforce, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, advancing racial equity, addressing climate change, bridging the digital divide and other issue advocacy initiatives. She led the organization’s 50th anniversary campaign in 2022.

Prior to joining Business Roundtable, McPhillips was the Senior Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships at Politico, leading the media company’s largest and most complex partnerships encompassing advertising, editorial underwriting, brand content, and events. She was a trusted advisor to Politico’s VIP clients, helping them build branding, thought leadership, and advocacy programs that successfully engaged influencers across multiple platforms. During her five and a half year tenure, she personally sourced and closed $35+ Million in revenue.

Prior to Politico, McPhillips was a Managing Supervisor at FleishmanHillard, a leading global marketing communications firm. In that role, she developed integrated campaigns and managed branding, content, and social media strategies as well as earned media for a diverse set of Fortune 100 companies.

McPhillips graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communications Studies. McPhillips serves on American University’s WAMU 88.5 Board of Advisors and the National Press Foundation’s Advisory Committee. She is co-chairing the National Press Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Journalism Awards Dinner. McPhillips is a former Chair of the Junior League of Washington Women’s Leadership Committee. McPhillips and her family reside in Northwest Washington, DC.
