Catalina Camia is editor and vice president of CQ, an information and media company that provides news, policy analysis and legislative tracking tools for its subscribers. As the top newsroom leader, she manages 50 journalists writing about Congress and the federal government with a focus on public policy.

Camia joined CQ Roll Call in 2015 as a senior editor, responsible for policy coverage on topics such as lobbying and influence, immigration, homeland security, legal affairs and the Supreme Court.  CQ Roll Call is a part of the FiscalNote family, a technology innovator at the intersection of business and government.

She worked at USA TODAY and Gannett for 12 years in various roles as an editor and reporter including stints directing coverage of Congress, the White House and politics. While at USA TODAY, Camia directed coverage of the 2008 presidential campaign and later served as the lead writer of the OnPolitics blog. Camia has also worked for The Dallas Morning News, Dallas Times Herald and The Press Enterprise of Riverside, Calif.

As national president of the Asian American Journalists Association in 1999-2000, Camia led a nonprofit educational and professional organization with more than 1,500 members across the United States and Asia. She also was president of the UNITY: Journalists of Color alliance.

Camia is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
