Lucia works as a Technology Reporter for the Boston Business Journal, covering the state’s largest technology firms and the interactions of venture capitalists with Boston’s startup community. Her daily stories range from “unicorn” valuations and IPOs to layoFs, lawsuits and bankruptcy proceedings. Lucia received a first-prize award by the New England Better Newspaper Competition for her piece on 3D-printed nasal swabs. Originally from Italy, Lucia moved to the U.S. to study at Northwestern University, where she earned her master’s degree in 2016. Her work has also appeared on NPR.org and TechCrunch.
