Jana Cholakovska is an international investigative reporter covering the climate crisis, labor rights, and politics. She is a cross-border data fellow with Columbia Journalism Investigations and a grantee with the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia University. She has worked with The Washington Post, Grist, The Guardian, Public Health Watch, Business Insider, VICE, and more.

She honed her reporting skills at the Investigative Reporting Lab in her native North Macedonia. She holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and a dual degree from New York University.
