Cheng Ting-Fang, Annie, is the chief tech correspondent with Nikkei Asia, the flagship English publication with Nikkei Inc. Ting-Fang covers hardware, semiconductor supply chains, and the intersection of chips and U.S.-China geopolitical tension. Ting-Fang was part of the Nikkei Asia team winning general excellence for Best in Business Awards with the U.S. Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing(SABEW) in early 2022, medium-size publications section.  She also received several SOPA Awards for her 2018 and 2019 coverage across regional scoop awards, business reporting, and explanatory reporting, on topics related to China’s chip ambition and U.S. crackdown on Huawei.

She was co-winner of the 2022 Hinrich Foundation Award for Distinguished Reporting on Trade along with Lauly Li.
