
Alexandra Suich is Media Editor for The Economist, based in New York, where she writes about the film, television, newspaper, music and book businesses worldwide. Previously she served as The Economist’s Finance Correspondent in London and wrote about hedge funds and private equity. She started writing for The Economist in 2008, and has also published articles with Newsweek International, Slate, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and the Nation. She was named Young Financial Journalist of the Year 2012 by the Wincott Foundation. She graduated from Yale, where she double-majored in history and African studies.
