
Gavin Off is co-winner of the National Press Foundation’s Thomas L. Stokes Award for Best Energy and Environment Writing.
Off has been The Charlotte Observer’s data reporter since 2011. Previously, he worked as a data reporter at the Tulsa World and at Scripps Howard News Service in Washington, D.C. He’s won national awards, including the IRE award, the National Headliner Award and Sigma Delta Chi award, and teaches data reporting at Queens University of Charlotte and the University of South Carolina.
