
Corrie MacLaggan is the statewide managing editor of The Texas Newsroom, a public radio journalism collaboration that includes NPR, KERA in North Texas, Houston Public Media, KUT in Austin and Texas Public Radio in San Antonio. Previously, she was managing editor of The Texas Tribune. She has also worked as a national correspondent for Reuters; as a state government and politics reporter for the Austin American-Statesman; and as a reporter for the El Paso Times. In addition, she worked in Mexico City, where she wrote for The Miami Herald’s Mexico edition and the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. MacLaggan, who was born in Austin, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
