
Steven Okun, founder and CEO, has more than 25 years experience across government, public affairs, and communications and has lived and worked in Asia since 2003.
Driving the company’s financial services sustainability consultancy, Steve’s hands-on approach ensures client-centric service at the most senior level. Also a Senior Advisor for geostrategic consultancy McLarty Associates, Steven is a sought-after speaker on US politics and foreign policy and its nexus to business, increasingly with a focus on sustainability. A frequent analyst for CNBC and Channel News Asia, he also authors regular commentary for The Straits Times (Singapore).
He also serves as the Senior Advisor in ASEAN for EMPEA, formerly the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association, and is a member of their global ESG and impact working groups. He served in the Administration of President Clinton as Deputy General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Transportation and worked on numerous U.S. presidential campaigns. He created and led public affairs for KKR Asia Pacific from 2011-2017, including implementing their ESG policy in the region.
