Susan Campolongo is an economist in the local area unemployment statistics program at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Her duties include the monthly review of substate estimates for several regions, drafting monthly press releases, communicating with customers and serving as part of a team researching future methodological enhancements to substate estimation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University.
