Paul Miller Washington Reporting Fellowship: Join the 30th Anniversary Class

For 30 years, the Paul Miller Fellowship has introduced promising reporters that are new to Washington to the city they have been assigned to cover. From September to June, this one-day-a-month fellowship will give print, online and broadcast journalists from top news organizations an intensive – and lively – overview of reporting in the capital.

Over the course of nine months, fellows will visit the Pentagon, the Supreme Court, the Capitol and other key Washington institutions. They’ll discuss politics and policy with policymakers, top experts and the best reporters in the business. And they’ll network with colleagues who will help them grow personally and professionally.

The Washington media landscape is filled with former Paul Miller fellows. You can join their ranks.

The Paul Miller Fellowship will meet one day a month during the 2017-18 year, starting in September (the program will not meet in January). The fellowship meets at the National Press Foundation’s Media Training Center in downtown Washington, with side trips to local agencies and institutions. Attendance at all session days is mandatory.

The application period for the Paul Miller Fellowship has closed. Please check back for the announcement of the fellows.
