2009 J2J Lung Health Media Training

Date: December 2-5, 2009
Location: Cancun, Mexico

The Journalist to Journalist Project of the National Press Foundation partnered with the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease to conduct two days of training on tuberculosis and other lung health diseases in Cancún, Mexico prior to the 40th Union World Conference on Lung Health.

Fellowships were awarded to 13 journalists from 12 different countries.  All of the selected journalists specialize in health and science reporting.  They took part in a training held from December 2-5, then covered the 40th Union World Conference on Lung Health from December 5-7.  Fellowships included air travel, lodging, meals during the program and a per diem.

The training opportunity was organized by the Journalist to Journalist project of the National Press Foundation, a U.S.-based non-profit journalism education organization in collaboration with the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, which also provided the funding.
