Jim Dyer

Jim Dyer leads the appropriations practice at Clark & Weinstock, representing clients who are looking for Congressional appropriations.

Jim served as Staff Director and Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations for nine years, so he understands in painful detail how the appropriations process works. He’s worked at the White House under both presidents Reagan and George HW Bush. He has a long resume in legislative affairs, has worked as a Press Secretary in the House, and has been a budget consultant to the Secretary of the Navy, in addition to many other positions that I encourage you to read about in your packet. He is a frequent media contributor on the subject of budget and appropriations policy, and today he’ll give us a look into his crystal ball as to what we should expect in the 2009-10 budget.
