NPF Awards Dinner Set for March 1
Mark your calendars! NPF is delighted to announce the date of its 2011 Annual Awards Dinner: March 1, 2011. The event will be held at the Hilton Washington and will honor the best in American journalism.
Last year, DC survived the “snowpocalypse” to honor 60 Minutes, Paul Anger, and Bill Kovach, among others. Watch the 60 Minutes tribute video from last year’s dinner when the show received the Sol Taishoff Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism below. Visit our awards dinner page to see photos and videos from past awards dinners. Acceptance speeches from all of last year’s winners can be viewed here.
Who will we honor this year? We’re currently accepting applications for the Dirksen Award for Distinguished Coverage of Congress, Berryman Award for Editorial Cartoons, Sol Taishoff Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism, and the Excellence in Online Journalism Award.
And, soon NPF will be announcing a NEW award to be given out for the first time at the 2011 dinner!
Visit www.nationalpress.org/awardsdinner for more information on the 2011 dinner as it becomes available. We look forward to seeing you on March 1st!
