Washington D.C.'s 2010 "snowpocalypse" couldn't keep crowds away from the Hilton Washington Hotel on February 16, 2010 for the 27th Annual Awards Dinner. With almost 900 journalists, media professionals, policy makers and corporate executives in attendance, the dinner was a huge success. "Journalism Matters" was the theme of the evening, and many of the award winners used their acceptance speeches to speak about the importance of journalism that matters in the field's changing landscape.
