Jimmy Margulies is the editorial cartoonist for The Record, in the northern New Jersey suburbs of New York City. Since 1990, he has been drawing six cartoons a week on state, national and international issues. His cartoons are syndicated by King Features, and appear in The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Sun Times, Dallas Morning News, Newsday, Time, Newsweek and Business Week, as well as many other publications across the nation. He has been featured on ABC News' Nightline, PBS' TV411, Jack Anderson's show on CNBC, Catherine Crier's program on The Fox News Channel, and his cartoons have been seen on The MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour, CNN, C-Span, and The Fox News Channel. In addition, Margulies self-syndicates his cartoons on state issues to newspapers throughout New Jersey. In 1996, he won both the National Headliner Award and The Fischetti Editorial Cartoon Competition. He began his career working for Journal Newspapers in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. Margulies has two collections of his cartoons published: My Husband is Not a Wimp! in 1988, and Hitting Below the Beltway in 1998. A 1973 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, he and his wife Martha have two children.
