Jennifer Liberto works for CNNMoney.com as a senior writer in Washington covering the government’s unprecedented response to the financial crisis. She works as the chief correspondent covering the new laws, ushering in the most sweeping changes to the financial regulatory system.
Previously, Liberto served as a state capitol correspondent in Tallahassee for the St. Petersburg Times. For nearly seven years in Florida, she covered everything from presidential and gubernatorial campaigns to Congressman Mark Foley’s fall from grace. She focused on the intersection of business and government, including Florida’s souring economy and budget crisis. Liberto also spent several weeks in the Gulf Coast covering hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
